Program Manager, Episcopal Migration Ministries

The Program Manager is a senior EMM staff position with responsibility for administering EMM’s contracts for resettlement related activities.
The position provides oversight and performs a grant management function with EMM affiliates. The Program Manager does site visits to monitor affiliates for contract compliance and to provide technical assistance and training. The Program Manager also works with affiliates to develop new programming and resources, and acts as a primary program liaison with affiliates.

Other responsibilities include writing proposals and reports, serving on interagency committees and task forces, liaising with federal government agencies, and assisting in planning and participating in EMM trainings and conferences.

Candidates should have a minimum of three years experience in the resettlement field. Experience at both local and national levels is desirable, as is overseas experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required. A minimum of a college degree is required.

This position reports to EMM’s Associate Director and provides supervision to an Assistant Program Manager.

The starting salary is commensurate with experience and the DFMS provides a generous benefits package. The DFMS is an equal opportunity employer.

The Geneva-based Internal Displacement Monitoring Centre (IDMC) of the Norwegian Refugee Council is looking for an experienced Training Officer to strengthen the IDMC's training team. Mandated by the United Nations, the IDMC is the leading international body monitoring internal displacement worldwide and providing training on the protection of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) to field-based actors. Target groups of IDMC's activities include national and local authorities, international agencies (UN and NGOs), local NGOs and leaders of displaced communities, and national human rights institutions. Responsibilities
Among the Training Officer’s main task will be the planning of training projects for relevant actors in countries affected by internal displacement. This includes establishing contacts with field-based partners, identifying their training needs, and designing country-specific training programmes. The Training Officer is also responsible for the delivery of training, based on the training modules developed by the IDMC, and the facilitation of workshops in the field. Following the completion of training workshops, the Training Officer is responsible for drafting the final reports of workshops, their dissemination, and the monitoring of the workshops' outcomes and impact. The Training Officer will also contribute to the development of IDMC's training activities through the design of relevant training materials and the promotion of training activities.

Qualifications
Candidates should have an advanced University degree, as well as documented in-depth knowledge in the field of international humanitarian law and human rights, preferably with a focus on forced migration.
Applicants must have significant professional training experience. Field experience, and familiarity with the international humanitarian system at field and/or headquarters level are essential. Fluency in English and excellent drafting skills are a must. Knowledge of other UN languages is an asset. Candidates should be highly motivated, well organised, able to work quickly and efficiently, within an international team, and available for frequent missions to the field.
