Senior Research Fellow - Migration, circa GBP35,721 per annum + benefits

The Institute for Public Policy Research (ippr), one of the UK's leading think-tanks, is looking for an experienced researcher to join its Migration, Equalities and Citizenship team to shape its high-profile work in this area (see http://www.ippr.org/migration ).

The successful candidate will help shape the team's research agenda, contribute to the management of existing and future projects, help influence UK and international policies, and contribute to public and media debates around migration. They will join a dynamic team of six that has produced ground-breaking research on topics such as the fiscal impacts of immigration, new immigrant communities in the UK, irregular migration, EU enlargement, the impacts of migration on development, emigration from the UK and public attitudes to asylum.

The successful candidate will have excellent research and writing skills, a demonstrated interest in migration-related issues, and a commitment to progressive values. The ideal candidate will also be a first-class communicator, politically astute and confident in influencing policy debates. Experience of working in the media and on fundraising would be desirable.
