ESRC Recognition and Doctoral Studentships

Following recognition of the Faculty Training Programme (MRes) by the ESRC, applications are welcomed from qualified applicants wishing to study for a PhD by research. Studentships are tenable for up to four years full time (and longer on a part time basis) and cover fees and a stipend of £12,300 tax free.

Quota (1+3 or +3) Studentships are available in fields allied to the Social Work interests of the Faculty, which include community and criminal justice, and social aspects of health care.

Applicants wishing to enter the Open Competition may submit proposals in areas of the Faculty’s research strategy relevant to health, social policy and social work and undertake the recognised Research Training MRes programme on the Social Policy/Health Studies and Social Wo
rk pathways.

Self-financing students and holders of other awards are also welcome to apply for a place to study in this unique, practice-oriented interdisciplinary Faculty.
