Dear all,

We are in need of a research assistant from among current students on the MA course in Refugee Studies. See advert below

Research Assistant Required

The Refugee Studies course is currently looking to hire a part-time research assistant to work with members of the course team on a participatory research and learning project funded by the University of East London's Quality Improvement in Learning and Teaching (QILT) programme. Our project, 'Enhancing the Performance of Refugee Students on the MA in Refugee Studies' is designed to provide systematic feedback on the performance and expectations of refugee students pursuing an MA in Refugee Studies in order to enhance their progression and achievement on the course and to improve their chances for employment in an increasingly professionalized field by providing access to IT facilities appropriate to the
group's IT needs.

We are particularly keen to recruit a student on the MA course who themselves has a refugee background. Subject to UEL's Equal Opportunity code, the project team seeks a research assistant with in-depth knowledge of both the MA Course in Refugee Studies at UEL and refugee issues. Owing to under-representation, we especially welcome applications from ethnic groups and indiviuals who have a disability.
