Administrator – Induction Centre Team

The Leeds Induction Centre Team is seeking to recruit an experienced Team Administrator to provide administrative support and assist the Deputy Team Manager in co-ordinating a team of Project Workers who are based across three sites in Leeds and Barnsley. The Team Administrator will be responsible for liaising with induction centre staff at both centres and with the Refugee Council Induction Centre Team to ensure that appointments are made for all clients in the Induction Centres within a very short time-scale. The Team Administrator is also responsible for undertaking a wide range of administrative duties. These include maintaining a complex paper filing system, updating the database and collating monthly statistics, answering telephone queries and providing general administrative support.

You must have a least one year’s experience as an administrator in a busy office environment, with experience of working in a diverse, multi-cultural team. A good command of written and spoken English is required, along with excellent communication and organisational skills. Experience of using a computerised database, word-processing and spreadsheet packages is needed. You must have the ability to work effectively as a member of a team and on your own initiative. Your commitment to the work of The Refugee Council is vital along with an understanding of the importance of confidentiality and the principles of Equal Opportunities.
