The Institutional Giving (IG) Team is responsible for securing restricted and unrestricted income from charitable trusts and foundations, companies and statutory sources.

Institutional Giving fundraising is one of three main areas of fundraising activity located in the Fundraising Team (the others being Individual Fundraising and Major Donor Fundraising). The post holder is expected to maintain an awareness of other fundraising initiatives in order to promote a coherent and integrated approach to the overall fundraising programme.

The main purpose of this job is to assist the IG Manager in the implementation of a successful IG strategy. The strategy will identify and target new opportunities and build on relationships with existing funders in order to maximise revenue. The post holder will be responsible for developing and maintaining effective project-based working relationships outside the team.

The successful applicant will have a minimum two years experience of fundraising from charitable trusts, companies and/or statutory funders including successful management of large accounts. You will be a first class communicator with the ability to deal appropriately with individuals at all levels, in particular possessing confident presentation and negotiation skills. A high level of numeracy is needed along with knowledge of putting together budgets, writing funding applications and reports. You will have strong organisational and time management capability coupled with a keen eye for detail and an analytical approach.
