Dear All,
Re. Felice Morgenstern Hardship Fund
The Learning and Integration Unit of the Refugee Council manages a hardship fund which is designed to provide small grants (usually a maximum of £100 per client) which can be used to support individuals in improving their access to education and training.
We would like to ensure that this fund is available to any Refugee Council clients in need of this kind of support.
Access to the fund is through a straight forward application process. Decisions are made on the basis of the amount requested and the reasons support is required. The fund is available to refugees and asylum seekers. Completed forms should be returned to Nancy Alarcon or Andrew Lawton at the RCs Bondway office.
Examples of previously successful applications:
Payments for books, school uniforms, specialist equipment required for a course, exam fees, membership fees, travel, stationary, short course fees. (Please note that no cash support is available. Payments can only be made to organisations or institutions and not directly to the client).
I have attached a more details description of the fund. If you have any questions or need any help in accessing this fund, please do call Nancy Alarcon on 020 7840 4483 or myself on 020 7840 4482.
P.S. Another organisation also offering financial support and worth considering is The Ruth Hayman Trust. You can see their website at www.ruthhaymantrust.com
