BID is still looking for a part-time (17.5 hours) Manager for its office in Gosport. Must be legally trained and qualified, preferably with OISC Level 3.

Opportunity to Use Legal and Management Skills to support immigration detainees

Bail for Immigration Detainees (BID) is an independent charity that aims to improve access to bail for asylum seekers and other immigrants held in detention. BID also campaigns against the detention of children and families. The head office is in London and there are branches in Oxford and Gosport.

Applications are invited for a one year part time post as Manager of the BID South office in Gosport. The post may be extendable if funding is achieved. The successful candidate will be a barrister, solicitor, or immigration adviser with OISC accreditation. S/he will have good communication skills and experience in preparing bail applications.
Duties will include general office management, management and recruitment of volunteers, and preparing applications for bail and temporary admission.

Salary for 2½days a week for 12 month contract £12886.
