The Research Centre and Refugee Studies (RCRS) is a specialised centre in the
refugee studies and more particularly in the Palestinian refugee issues. The
centre, that is based in Amman, is in need of qualified staff who will support
the centre’s work programme in conducting research, publishing books and
policy papers, issuing a quarterly refugee journal, holding regular seminars
and producing documentaries.

The centre needs:

1. External Relations Officer, who is expected to:

- Network with specialised centres, institutions, universities, bookshops, and
stakeholders of host countries involved in the refugee matter, particularly in
the Palestinian refugee issue;
- Put working strategy to market the work of the centre at a regional and
international level;
- For the quarterly Refugee Journal issued by the centre, follow up with
i
nterested bodies keen to publicise in the journal.

The candidate should

- Have at least a BA in Business, marketing, social sciences, or any related
field;
- Have languages skills- good written and spoken Arabic and English;
- Have at least 3 to 4 years of experience in related fields;
- Have knowledge in using Microsoft office.

2. Office Manager, who is expected to:

- To manage the administrative matters at the centre;
- To build a data base of specialised networks and contacts;
- To help in holding regular seminars and workshops;
- To take minutes of meetings when needed;

The Candidate should

- Have a BA in public administration or any related field;
- Have languages skills – good written Arabic and English;
- Have good typing skills and uses the Microsoft word easily;
- Have at least 3 years of experience in related fields.
