REFUGEE ADVISER (HEALTH AND SOCIAL CARE)
24,825 - 26,358pa (Inc OLW) 36 hours p/wk (pay award pending)

We are a successful and dynamic organisation providing advice,
information and support to refugees and asylum seekers across the London Borough of Barnet. We wish to appoint an experienced refugee adviser with a speciality in health and social care to join our busy advice service.
You will provide advice and guidance on issues such as accessing welfare
benefits, housing, employment and training and especially health to Asylum Seekers/ Refugees both at our office, by phone and at other locations across Barnet.
You will need significant experience of direct advice work with Asylum
Seekers/ Refugees, working with health services and extensive knowledge of the health issues facing Asylum Seekers/ Refugees and the resources available to help them. You will also have the ability to provide training and workshops, to be a strong team player with excellent negotiation and communication skills, and an ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision.
