Funded largely by the Home Office and a variety of other sources, the Refugee Council provides direct advice and support services for asylum seekers and refugees over a wide range of welfare rights related topics at a budget of nearly £3 million. The external environment that affects the services we are providing is constantly changing and we need to monitor the volume and the quality of our services for our managers, trustees and our funders.
The purpose of this post is to co-ordinate regionally collected data from staff who are doing this for their local services, and to compile and present it to different stakeholders. In addition to the regular reports required by managers and funders, the postholder needs to produce one off reports and design data capturing systems to monitor different activities.
With at least two years’ experience in a similar role you will be confident in collating recording and reporting on a wide range of statistical data, be financially astute and comfortable in utilising IT packages to perform your tasks. You will also have experience of working with complex data and/or databases, with the ability to design accessible formats to present statistical information to a wide audience. You must be able to produce clear, comprehensive and accurate numerical and statistical reports, along with the ability to develop computerised and manual systems. With strong interpersonal and liaison skills you will be capable of working to tight deadlines maintaining accuracy at all times. Your commitment to the work of The Refugee Council is vital along with an understanding of the importance of confidentiality and the principles of Equal Opportunities.
