Grade 6

Salary £27,054

Based Ipswich

The Refugee Council are currently looking for an energetic individual to work as a Mentoring Project Co-ordinator for our refugee mentoring project - 'Time Together’.

You will promote the integration of refugees by co-ordinating the Time Together mentoring project in Ipswich and Norwich. The successful candidate for this role will be responsible for recruiting, training and supporting refugee mentees and volunteer mentors on the scheme, as well as networking to raise awareness of the project.

The ideal candidate will have a thorough knowledge of refugee issues and established networks within this sector as well as experience of supporting people within a mentoring, befriending or volunteer context.

You will have experience of designing and delivering training as well as excellent communication and computer skills. A proven facilitator, you will have effective planning skills and experience of liasing with voluntary and statutory organisations. This post requires experience of working in a multi-cultural environment.

Your commitment to the work of The Refugee Council is vital along with an understanding of the importance of confidentiality and the principles of Equal Opportunities.
