Salary £32,112 - £35,589 pro rata
Based Brixton
The Refugee Council operates in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment, working with frequent changes with regard to policies and procedures affecting refugees and asylum seekers.
As a response to the increasing challenges facing Refugee Community Organisations (RCOs) in accessing and managing funds, The Refugee Council and Refugee Action are developing a partnership project to help RCOs build their organisational capacity to access and manage funding from the Big Lottery (BLF) and other sources.
The development phase of this project is funded by the Big Lottery Fund under their Building and Sustaining Infrastructure Services (BASIS) programme. This initial phase will focus on developing the main project by working with RCO’s and other stakeholders, particularly infrastructure support organisations and funders.
The main purpose of this post is to initiate and manage the development stage of the project. You will have responsibility for managing the team and achieving project targets. The key responsibilities for this post are:
- To manage and co-ordinate key project activities
- To produce a five year business plan
- To produce a final funding bid
Candidates wishing to apply should prepare a statement (no longer than 2 sides of A4 paper) including their contact details, background experience and a statement addressing the attached person specification.

Interviews will be held on the Monday 31st July
The successful candidate must be able to start as soon as possible in August
Refugee Council staff wishing to pursue this as a secondment opportunity must gain the approval of their line manager prior to making an application
